3G applications

According to a whitepaper form Nokia, 3G applications can be divided into:

1. Wireless Advertising
2. Mobile Information
3. Business Solutions
4. Mobile Transactions
5. Mobile Entertainment
6. Person-to-Person Communications
7. Bearer Entrance and Periodics

According to the Report 9 from UMTS Forum near-term 3G data services are subdivided into content connectivity and mobility, then further subdivided to create the following six services:

1. Customised Infotainment
2. Multimedia Messaging Service
3. Mobile Intranet/Extranet Access
4. Mobile Internet Access
5. Location-based Services
6. Rich Voice
